Amergis Teacher for Visually Impaired in Akron, Ohio

The Teacher for the Visually Impaired provides students with appropriate learning experiences and activities designed to help them in social, intellectual, and emotional growth. The Teacher for the Visually Impaired organizes and implements an instructional program for visually impaired students.

  • Part Time Teacher for the Teacher for Visually Impaired Opening

  • 1-5 Hours a week

  • Will take Virtual Candidates

  • 1 6th grade Student with visual Issues

  • When not helping with student will be able to help with paper work

  • Will pick schedule with school

  • They are very flexible

Enables students to develop competencies and skills to function in a successful and positive manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

  • Valid state teaching certificate as required by state regulations

  • One year experience as a teacher for the visually impaired preferred

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
