Here, you can make an impact and make a difference. Come join us. Huntsman is seeking a Process Specialist supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Akron, OH. This position will report to the Production Manager. Job Scope As Production Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and quality execution of the manufacturing strategy for the unit(s) of responsibility. You will lead and support development of the Operators as well as support technical troubleshooting, scheduling, process optimization, etc., for the process unit(s) of responsibility. In summary, as the Process Specialist, you will: Assist as needed with the operation, maintenance preparation, and start-ups/shutdowns of units Assist unit process engineers and others with issues concerning production issues, troubleshooting, production scheduling, priorities, etc. Supports production execution by supporting activies such as EIP generation, JSA generation, area operating procedure improvement, process training for operators, etc Provide daily operations work instructions and prioritize daily operations tasks as needed and assist Production Shift Supervisors in monitoring and adjusting process conditions. Assists with Confined Space, Hot Work, and Safe Work permit issuance as needed. Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. The ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives. Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. Assists other employees in accomplishments of Huntsman company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree (2 yr) in Process Technology Or 5+ years of petrochemical industry experience in operations or other manufacturing or maintenance environment.
