[On behalf of a local cleaning company, OhioMeansJobs Summit County is recruiting for a Day Porter: * *Position Description: A day porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility throughout the day. Performs various janitorial and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. Mon-Fri 7am-3pm (* 1 hour lunch*)
Salary: $12-$13/hr. **

- Perform regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures, to maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty and clean trash receptacles, and replace liners as needed.
- Wipe down and disinfect surfaces such as tables, countertops, and door handles to prevent the spread of germs.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, restroom supplies, and other consumables.
- Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and trash bags as needed.
- Inform supervisor when supplies are running low to ensure timely restocking.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Keep outdoor areas clean and tidy, including sweeping walkways and picking up litter.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Follow proper chemical handling and disposal guidelines to ensure safety and compliance.
- Respond to cleaning emergencies
