Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

We are currently seeking career-oriented and motivated individuals to join our team as full-time Equipment Fabricators. The equipment group plays a vital role in the company by developing and building new and innovative test equipment, such as crash test centers and space flight simulators. In the fabricator position, you will work and train with senior fabricators and design personnel to build the most advanced equipment in the industry today. This is a 1st shift opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior fabricators and design personnel to build advanced test equipment.

  • Fabricate and assemble equipment from drawings, including weldments, linear guides, bearings, motors, and gearboxes.

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding with high precision.

  • Ensure quality and safety standards are met consistently.

  • Solve problems and make decisions independently.

Essential Skills

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience with GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW.

  • Proficiency in aluminum welding.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for fabrication.

  • Strong focus on quality and safety.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in aluminum welding is a plus.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

  • Capability to fabricate and assemble equipment from detailed drawings.

Our Fabrication center in Akron, New York, focuses on the design, build, and checkout of test fixtures, test systems, and facilities for our global customer base. The 36,000 sq ft fabrication center was constructed in 2017, with an additional 36,000 sq ft inventory/fab facility added in 2022. We promote a culture of innovation, learning, and team building.
