Aerotek Journeyman Welder in Airdrie, Alberta

We are looking for a Aluminum Welder for a position located in Airdrie, Alberta. This job opportunity will provide full time hours, long term benefits with stability and longevity for the right candidate.

Job Title: Journeyman Welder

Job Description

As new projects come in, you will be responsible for welding a variety of different components. Primarily, you will work on the aluminum welding side of the operation, focusing on high-quality bench-welded components using wire feed and TIG. You will read blueprints and fabricate objects repeatedly in runs of 5-20 pieces. You may likewise impact the steel side of the facility, welding items such as pipe shoes, steel stairs/landings, I-beams/supports, and attachments. You will also work on smaller components ranging from 10 to 100 pieces using regular mild steel and aluminum with TIG.

Must Have Skills

  • Journeyman welder (2nd or 3rd year apprentice acceptable)

  • Aluminum, and stainless steel experience

  • TIG

  • Wire feed

  • Reading blueprints

  • Lifting 50 lbs.

Additional Skills

  • CWB - Flux core Flat & Horizontal

  • Reading Manufacturing Blueprints

  • Attention to detail

  • Sit down counterbalance exp (can cert on site)

  • Aluminum welding

Work Environment

  • The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility as needed.

  • Dress code is casual with required PPE.

  • The company handles projects for municipality industries, government projects, and larger manufacturers, with a focus on quality assurance and client trust.
