Job Overview

We are looking for a talented & detail-oriented Mechanical Design Process Engineer

A Day In The Life

  • Design and perform manufacturing engineering of high voltage insulators.

  • Design and perform application assessment of high voltage insulators as well as support their manufacture including material processing and equipment optimization.

  • Manage the capital for large projects to support business growth, specifically all aspects of silicone press molding for high voltage insulators.

  • Improve the design and manufacture of insulators. Perform ‘E-field’ modeling, mold flow simulation, and silicone processing.

  • This is a hybrid position; may work from home up to 2 days per week

  • Design and perform manufacturing engineering of high voltage insulators.

  • Design and perform application assessment of high voltage insulators as well as support their manufacture including material processing and equipment optimization.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 2 years of experience as a Design Engineer in the power utility industry or a related role

  • At least 2 years of experience with DFEMA and PFEMA;

  • At least 2 years of experience with high voltage insulator design;

  • At least 1 year of experience with PLSCADD;

  • At least 1 year of experience supporting E-field modeling;

  • At least 1 year of experience supporting mold flow software;

  • At least 1 year of experience supporting silicone process engineering;

  • At least 1 year of experience in Major Capital project deployment (AFE, install, runoff, approvals); and

  • At least 1 year of experience in standard Committee involvement.
