We are looking for a motivated, curious and enterprising talent to join us at our Plant in Barberini (PE).

Manufacturing Engineer, reporting directly to Plant Manager and reporting functionally to supply chain ME Manager, defines and promotes projects for continuous improvement of methods and technologies.

He/She supports the introduction of new products, coordinating the activities of process technologists. In order to support the Automation and IT functions, ME Methods & Technology Specialist defines development plans in the digital and automation fields

Here some of the responsabilities you will have:

  • Provides technical support, direction, and guidance on improvement of technology, processes, and equipment reliability to support capacity, capability, and improvements to deliver service and quality results.

  • Provides support in organizing and managing manufacturing workflows and resources.

  • Propose upgrade to systems and processes with new technology or materials.

  • Manage the development of manufacturing and testing processes for new products introduction.

  • Provides technical support for day-to-day manufacturing and translates technical knowledge to functional groups and training requirements.

  • Leverages lean tools, including value stream mapping, to improve overall manufacturing cycle time and WIP reduction.

  • Give support for new equipment characteristics definition, introduction and ramp up.

  • Provides guidance to support standardization of processes and materials across manufacturing shifts.

  • Partners with quality to develop quality control plans required to sustain operations and deliver product results.

  • Apply problem solving techniques to drive continuous improvement on process and equipment.

  • Develops and directs procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.

  • Collaborate with other departments, contractors and suppliers.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE

You know you are a Luxottican when you recognize yourself in our 4 characteristics (imaginative, passionate, entrepreneurial, simple and fast) and:

  • You got an Mechanical or Material Engineering degree

  • You got 3-5 years of experience

  • You have good analytical skills, you are flexible and have great communication and organizational skills

  • Did you work or study abroad? This is great!

  • Fluent English (of course)
