Main Activities:

The candidate will be involved in various operational missions, in collaboration with different functions. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Sustainability, the candidate will contribute to develop and execute the “Eyes on the Planet” program as follows:

  • GHG emissions analysis: supporting the team on the yearly Company Carbon Footprint assessment, a process that involves different functions aimed to gather all the information on the GHG emission sources to assess the overall footprint of the Group in terms of CO2e emissions; comparing the calculated GHG emissions vs projections and vs prior year results; analysing benchmarks and best practices to advance in the Group Carbon reduction roadmap.

  • Stakeholder engagement: identifying levers to advance on the Group roadmap (supplier engagement and internal initiatives assessment) and continuously refine the GHG Accounting (emission factors definition); internal and external communication on EssilorLuxottica actions, participation in various publications (ratings, reports...), identification of potential partners.

  • Climate Assessment: climate risk and impact analysis, definition and feasibility assessment of Group 2030 targets

In addition to these main missions, the candidate will actively participate in all of the department's projects in order to help strengthen the Group's sustainable development approach.

Who is the perfect candidate?​

The candidate should be passionate about sustainability, willing to give a contribution to the EssilorLuxottica's long-term goal of addressing climate change by reducing its carbon footprint.Theperfect candidate should have the following skills:

  • Carbon accounting basic knowledge – Company Carbon Footprint Assessment & GHG Protocol guidance with focus on Scope 3

  • MS Office – Excel advanced

  • Analytical skills – proactive and curious approach, precision and commitment to quality

Anything else you should know? ​

Educational background: Environmental Engineering or Sustainability studies, Management/Economics with sustainability studies/courses.

Languages: Italian, mother-tongue; English, fluent; French, would be considered a plus.
