OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Quality Engineer II to Implement and maintain engineering and quality process including ensuring quality of manufactured goods from delivery of raw materials to final product by continually assessing process and recommending improvements. Works closely with other departments to ensure continuity in production, efficiency, quality, and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, document and implement methods for process control (including SPC), process improvement, testing and inspection

  • Conduct root cause analysis as needed, utilizing applicable tools to ensure robust solutions or improvements are determined and implemented

  • Manage large projects to ensure timelines are met and appropriate resources have proper communication and direction

  • Conduct internal quality system audits

  • Facilitate and lead CAPA meetings, follow up on corrective actions to ensure CAPA’s are being resolved in a timely manner?

  • Lead appropriate advanced product quality planning (APQP) processes within the organization to ensure product and process validation and verification?

  • Develop and maintain tools for Quality System metric reporting. Ensure metrics are being reported accurately

  • Work with engineering team using past performance data to prevent future occurrences. Utilize tools such as DOE, DFM, FMEAs, GD&T, process capability, 6-sigma designs, etc.?

  • Assist disposition process by involving in failure analysis and suggest corrective actions as Material Review Board member

  • Lead and develop New Employee Orientation Blue Print Reading Training and develop and implement programs needed for additional quality new employee training in coordination with the Human Resources Department

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preference of 3-5 years recent, relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and tooling

  • Experience in Medical Systems and Audits (ISO 13485) preferred

  • A strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems and audit requirements

  • Auditing experience preferred

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or Certified Quality Engineer preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
