Opportunity FastenMaster is OMG\'s market-leading division of branded, innovative fastening solutions for structural wood-to-wood connections and exterior applications (decking & trim) for residential, multi-family, and commercial construction. FastenMaster?s success depends on strong product management, which guides the success of a product from conception to distribution. Product Managers analyze market and competitive conditions, and lay out a vision for the production, marketing and delivery of products that differentiates us from our competitors and delivers unique value based on customer demand. This function spans many activities from strategic to tactical and requires strong cross functional team leadership. Reporting to the Product Manager for Deck & Trim, the Associate Product Manager helps bridge the gap between different functions within the company to align teams involved to drive the sales growth and profit of assigned products. Key to success in this role are strong communication skills, time management and organization, teamwork and collaboration and the ability to develop and strong understanding of the product lifecycle. Responsibilities Promote safety as the Number 1 priority of OMG. Support the prioritization of projects related to management of assigned product lines. Understand the needs of the end user and help translate those into clear direction for program development. Research market potential, current market share, and competitive product positioning. Assist with development of sales training that enables the field team to effectively market and sell products and applications. Support Key Account Managers efforst to drive product line acceptance within target accounts. Support Service Delivery Managers efforts to drive continuous process improvement related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. Help Sales & Operations Planning Team to communicate product needs. Assist Product Managers implement effective core product management strategies. Support Marketing and Operations teams ability to deliver effective packaging and merchandising. Assist Technical Management team with data necessary to obtain required industry approvals. Perform other tasks as requested. Requirements Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field (preferred). 2+ years\' experience in a sales or marketing position. Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, and compellingly, and effectively work with cross functional teams. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; demonstrated strong bias for action. Excellent written and verbal communications required. Able to participate in job site visits. Ability to stand, walk, climb, talk and hear, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Strong PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite (Excel proficiency mandatory and strong Powerpoint skills preferred). 10% - 15% travel required. Positive attitude, good judgment and excellent time management skills. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership!
