Our Metals & Minerals (M&M) segment that serves process and laboratory analytical needs for customers globally across Cement, Metals, Mining, Research and Academic, and Environmental applications. Our core technology offerings are OES, XRF, XRD, PGNAA and are supported by automation systems that provide engineered sample introduction solutions integrated with our analytical instrumentation.

Key Accountabilities

As Product Manager for the PGNAA cross-belt-analysers you ‘own’ the product and the product line strategy, ensuring profit and growth. The position requires significant thought leadership, strategic marketing skills, and the ability to influence across a wide variety of functions / roles. The individual in this position should be viewed as a skilled marketing professional with solid understanding of the market, customer, competition, and service offerings.

  • Be an authority on our customers. Proactively listen, understand, and develop actionable insights into strategy to develop products that drive customers success

  • Define market requirements and synthesize customer input by conducting VOC and market research to understand key market trends, use cases, customer requirements, etc.

  • Own the product roadmap, illustrate a vision and prioritize requirements. Leading the innovation process for the assigned area(s), assess opportunities, validate concepts for new product offerings and prepare arguments to support the investment

  • Independently establish and lead critical initiatives that drive commercial success and support the overall business strategy

  • Define the strategies and programs that will generate awareness and leads for your products in collaboration with marketing communications

  • Own the pricing model, ensure that we are extracting the maximum value, considering different regional and competitive insights

  • Interact with varying levels of internal and external collaborators including direct client communication and public presentation

  • Work closely with applications team to develop use scenarios and technical specifications for new products and applications

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate Product Management fundamentals, 4Ps, segmentation and positioning, value propositions, persona development, PLM, etc

  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Tertiary Qualification in Science and Marketing

  • Financial acuity (forecasting, market share, top and bottom line)

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
