We are currently seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to become part of our pain management practice! We provide an excellent working environment, great team atmosphere, competitive salary and benefits.

The Medical Assistant assists the Physician and nursing staff with documenting the patient encounter into the EMR, They also function to perform various patient care tasks, and exhibit teamwork characteristics with Physicians and other staff. The Lead Medical Assistant is responsible for completing clinical and administrative tasks, taking Triage calls, ordering medical supplies and anything else the PA’s might need help on.

*This position will require travel to our other clinics as needed*

Essential Functions

  • Answers phones.

  • Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.

  • Greets patients and takes them back to rooms.

  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patients charts.

  • May be required to collect urine samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.

  • Prepares examination rooms and maintains daily cleaning list.

  • Filling out procedure consents.

  • Schedules patients for their special procedures with the ASC centers.

  • Formulates and documents patient care plans, charts, tests and examination results in the medical record.

  • Escalates non-routine issues to the Office Manager or Physician.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager or Physician.
