Thrust Flight Maintenance Coordinator in Addison, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY This role assists with the checking in and out of aircraft and administrative duties pertaining to scheduled flights. This role works in our Dispatch office, which is the center of operations for flights, staff and customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential Functions: Safety Compliance Oversight: o Monitor and ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations during all flight operations. o Taxi aircraft between Flight School and Maintenance Facility following FAA/Airport Regulation and instructions Aircraft Inspection Coordination: o Liaise with maintenance personnel to address any discrepancies or issues identified during inspections promptly. o Utilize expertise in Aircraft Operations to distinguish priority and non-priority maintenance issues Documentation Management: o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of flight schedules, student progress, maintenance activities, and other relevant documentation. o Responsible for invoicing and processing payments on a regular basis Customer Relationship Management: o Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, resolving issues and providing assistance as needed. Training Support: o Assist in coordinating training sessions for staff members, ensuring ongoing professional development and compliance with regulatory requirements.Provide support and guidance to new employees and students, facilitating their integration into the organization. o Schedule students throughout their course using expertise in Flight Training Regulation o Prioritize conflicting needs and handle matters expeditiously and proactively Cross-Functional Collaboration: o Collaborate with other departments within the organization, such as flight instruction, maintenance, and administrative teams, to ensure seamless coordination of operations. Participate in meetings and discussions to share insights, address challenges, and implement process improvements across departments. Continuous Improvement Initiatives: o Identify opportunities for streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of flight operations and administrative functions. Propose and implement innovative solutions to optimize resource utilization and enhance the customer experience. Carry out assigned tasks as duties arise Thrust Flight Position Description Maintenance Coordinator Department: Operations Job Status: Full-time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Controller Work Schedule: Sun-Tues 7am-6pm and Wed 7am-12:30pm; Wed 12:30pm-6pm and Thurs-Sat 7am-6pm Positions Supervised: None POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Competencies: Excellent communication skills and awareness for customer service Organized and able to adapt quickly Ability to communicate effectively with others Friendly and helpful attitude Strong attention to detail Flexible to work various shifts 5+ years Similar Aviation experience is required Minimum of three or more years of Part 91/135 experience Dispatcher License and/or Pilots license Abel to TAXI aircraft as required No violations of FAA/DOT regulations within the last five (5) years Knowledge of basic aircraft system failures and scheduling time frames is required Experience with Microsoft Office/ Flight Schedule Pro required Background checks and drug screenings will be conducted on all final candidates, as deemed necessary High school or equivalent (Required) Customer Service: 3 years (Required) Knowledgeable of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations Able to work as a part of a team in a high stress, fast-paced environment Highly motivated and organized Strong computer proficiency Possess the ability to read, write, and speak English SKILLS and ABILITIES Education: HS Diploma or equivalent Dispatcher License and/or Pilots License Technical (Equipment Operation): TAXI aircraft, following ATC instructions and FAA/Airport Regulations Leadership: Planning and Delegating Analytical: Forec sting and Predicting Experience: Aircraft Mechanical/Operational experience, FAA FAR 61,91,141 regulatory knowledge required Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Google Suite a plus Flight Schedule Pro (Preferred) Basic Clover Banking skill (Preferred)
