Financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting will be among your duties as Senior Accountant. This Senior Accountant role is located in Adams, Nebraska within the Energy/Natural Resources field.
Responsibilities
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives Requirements
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Strong communication and social skills
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Microsoft Excel experience
Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Payroll experience highly desired
Foundational knowledge in general ledger
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Able to manage time well
