Acadia Healthcare Group Therapist in Ada, Oklahoma
Description
Work Environment: Inpatient Acute Geriatric, Intellectually Disabled, Adult Psychiatric, Adult Substance Abuse Detox, and/or Residential Treatment Care for Adolescents
Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based, trauma informed therapeutic interventions in a group setting to address mental health and/or substance abuse issues.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care. Provide feedback for treatment teams as needed.
Document progress and maintain accurate clinical records
Requirements:
Master's or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
Appropriate licensure or certification (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Licensed Psychologist)
Experience and passion for group work and/or experience and passion working with geriatric, intellectually disabled, adult psychiatric, adult substance abuse detox populations, and/or adolescents
Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Additional Licenses/Certifications:
- First Aid, CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Social Work or Human Services field from an accredited college or university and pursuing under supervision.
One to two year's experience working with comparable patient population.
