Grand Traverse Resort and Spa Reservations Agents in Acme, Michigan
The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa located in Traverse City, MI has opening for 3 full time temporary Reservations Agents, $18.42/hr ($27.63/hr O.T.) from 4/1/2025 to 11/30/2025. This position educates and entices callers into booking a reservation while matching the caller's needs to the most suitable accommodations. It serves to maximize sales in rooms as well as golf, spa and restaurants on property while promoting goodwill and a good image for the resort on the phone ; Attend GTRS Orientation and Guest Relation classes.; Accurately book reservations in the computer, inputting correct departmental codes.; Answer phone calls promptly and professionally.; Know the entire layout of the property and be able to describe, in great detail, the various accommodations and facilities available.; Know/Understand all special promotions, packages, and rates.; Have a working knowledge of the Group Reservations, Front Desk, and Housekeeping areas and how they relate/interact with the Reservations Department; Handle no show reservations, cancellations, guarantees and direct billing according to departmental procedures.; Typing, filing, and other clerical duties pertaining to the Reservations Department; Attend GTRS Orientation and Guest Relation classes.; Maintain an up-to-date information book and email; Report any unusual requests and disgruntled guests to manager.
No exp. req. Maintain professional appearance and proper uniform based upon Grand Traverse Resort and Spa policies and/or standards. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and the level of business at the resort but will generally be 5 days per week with rotating days off. This position will generally work one of the following shifts: 9-5pm; 12pm-8pm approximately 40 hours per week with some overtime. The business is open 7 days per week and weekend and holiday work will be required.

Workers are paid every two weeks. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law but will make no other deductions. Raises and bonuses available based on performance or length of service with the employer.
Work tools, supplies and equipment will be provided without charge or deposit. Workers receive discounted meals at the employee cafeteria; food and beverage discounts at resort restaurants, and discounts at the resort golf courses, spa and retail stores.
If required by prevailing law the employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees) incurred by the worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
The employer does have a limited number of shared housing units available for rent by seasonal workers at a cost to the worker of $63.00 per week or $91.00 per week. A refundable $400 housing deposit is required minus a $25.00 cleaning fee.
