JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Abington’s Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management (RPTM) program invites applications for up to three part-time instructors of Community or Commercial Recreation to teach 200 & 300 level courses starting in Spring 2025 with the potential for on-going part-time instruction in Academic Year 2025-2026 and beyond.

Job DutiesCandidates should be able to teach at least one of the following courses:

  • Sustainability, Society, & Well-being

  • Inclusive Leisure Services

  • Non-Profit Recreation Agency Operations

  • Commercial Recreation Management

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Classes can be taught in person or can be taught online synchronously via Zoom, but preference will be given to on-campus instruction.

  • Preference will also be given to candidates with prior experience teaching the targeted courses and with direct employment experience in the topic areas.

  • PhD, ABD, and Master's level candidates will be considered.
