CECT Workforce Solutions Managing Director in Abilene, Texas

**[Summary of Position [Reports directly to the CEO and performs essential duties of a Managing Director including, independently direct and oversee service delivery operations and support the organization in overall management and direction of the assigned area(s) and ensure effective direct program service delivery to all participants, manage the budget, and supervise assigned staff. To perform this job successfully, the Managing Director must be able to perform each duty, outlined below, satisfactorily.

  • Oversee the delivery of workforce development programs and services for job seekers and employers throughout the region.
  • Manage the design of quality participant and employer services and development of programs in compliance with federal, state and local rules and regulations.
  • Manage the participant budgets, meet expenditure benchmarks, and profit payment points.
  • Meet the contractual requirements and complete the deliverables by the established deadlines.
  • Oversee the operations; develop the management team, identify staff training needs and implement plans for corrective action; monitor and evaluate program operations to ensure effective delivery of service and achievement of program goals and outcomes; and meet or exceed performance measures.
  • Foster a strong team environment among the supervisors and management staff to facilitate the integration of programs and operating systems consistent with the one-stop concept.
  • Handle HR matters in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary contact with the funding entity.
  • Promote teamwork across program staff to enhance goal attainment.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; based on operational needs.

  • Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with four years of relevant experience, including supervisory or management experience,
  • Alternative requirements are a minimum of 60 hours from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of directly related experience, including supervisory or management experience or graduation from high school/GED and eight years of direct experience, including supervisory or management experience.
  • Related field may include Business, Public Administration, Marketing and Management. Relevant experience is defined as experience in business development, job development, marketing, workforce development programs and services, or public relations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) beneficial; but not required.
  • Valid Drivers License and proof of liability coverage required.
