POSITION : General Laborer                                    STATUS: Full-Time Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

The General Laborer will perform a variety of tasks to support the manufacturing process. This includes operating machinery, handling materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and machinery.

  • Load and unload materials and products.

  • Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards.

  • Assist with assembly and packaging of products.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.

  • Assist with other tasks as needed to support the manufacturing process

    REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is desired OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties (required)

  • 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred 

  • General knowledge and understanding of shop facility cleaning and maintenance.

  • Experience operating a forklift (desired)

  • Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.

  • Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Ability to safely perform tasks in an efficient and productive manner.

  • Skilled at managing time independently.

  • Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds. 

  • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day. 

  • Ability to lift and move heavy sheets of metal.  

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
