Avera is now hiring a Maintenance Technician for maintenance duties!

Position Highlights:

Job Summary

  • Operates and maintains mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Performs repairs to physical facilities and equipment as requisitioned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school plus trade or vocational school is desirable.

  • Prior experience with hospital mechanical systems, boiler operation, plumbing, electrical and computer systems is desirable.

Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • South Dakota boilers license is desirable but not required.

  • This job position requires that you maintain a valid driver’s license, wear a seat belt and that you are insurable under Avera’s vehicle insurance policy. If you become uninsurable by the company Avera uses for automobile coverage because your driver’s license is revoked, suspended or restricted, receive moving violations, fail to use a seat belt or receive other infractions (e.g., a driving under the influence), you may no longer meet the essential functions of this job position and you may be terminated from employment. Additionally, it is recommended that employees carry sufficient automobile liability and physical damage insurance to adequately protect their financial and property interests.

Work Schedule

  • Day shifts; 80 hours every 2 weeks

  • 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

  • Occasional weekend (Primary role will be groundskeeper. This will require unique hours during winter months for snow removal.)

  • Occasional holiday (Could require work on holidays for snow removal.)

  • Occasional call time

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $20.00 - $28.75
