Job Summary
- The Laboratory Technical Assistant does blood draws, organizes specimen collection requests, performs patient clinical laboratory specimen collection procedures, specimen transport, specimen processing, testing dispersal, point-of-care testing procedures, and other pre-analytic functions following established standards and practices.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Previous patient contact or customer service experience is highly desired.
Work Schedule
Varied Day/Evening Shifts: 5am-3pm; 8am-6pm; Split Shift: 7am - Noon & 2:30pm - 7:30 pm
Every third weekend and 3rd holiday rotation
Full Time; 72 hours 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
