PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, Washington is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Night position.
About This Position:
This is a 1.0 FTE scheduled for four-10 hour night shifts, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Thursday. You'll also be included in our holiday rotation and standby call rotation, providing a fair and equitable experience for all team members, including you.
The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $33.14 – $49.75.The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
As a Radiology Technologist, you'll prepare for and perform standard x-ray examinations, portable examinations, and may perform fluoroscopic procedures and surgical x-ray procedures. You'll utilize proper positioning and selection of appropriate technical factors using various radiographic equipment to obtain optimal results. Your expertise will help healthcare providers make informed decisions about patient care. You'll work closely with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Essential Functions:
Prepare, supply, and equip exam room to meet the needs of requested examinations and to meet specific physician requirements for procedures.
Integrates previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history and medical records to optimize exam.
Perform most appropriate examination based on patient information through consultation with interpreting physician and/or ordering physician as necessary.
Provides patient education and instruction prior to and after examination. Provide training/education to staff and students as indicated.
Demonstrates ability to adapt exam to address problems of patient care as they arise making decisions to appropriately resolve problems.
Performs x-ray examinations applying appropriate infection control and radiation safety measures.
Applies ALARA principle to ensure appropriate radiation safety for self, patient, and visitor. Evaluates patient for pregnancy prior to exam as indicated.
May perform surgical x-ray examinations, will utilize appropriate radiation safety measures and adhering to AORN standards.
Qualifications:
Accredited School Required: Radiologic Technology.
PACS/RIS knowledge
Radiology Technologist - Washington
ARRT-R certification
Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
