About the role

Purpose:

Drive sales and share through the identification of analytically derived opportunities in Execution, Activation with focus on Business Divisions our Whiskey Brands

Role and Responsibilities

  • Role responsible for development, measurement and ongoing analysis of execution goals and our performance against those goals

  • Role responsible for assuring that Execution goals drive desired business results, are fair and equitable across geographies and reinforce our brand and corporate strategies.

  • Role responsible for the analytically connecting execution goals to broader ecosystem of data tools (Nielsen, depletions, dDNSV, NABCA)

  • Commercial Business Sequencing: Work with Director and cross functional teams to ensure alignment of analytics/actionable insights sequencing with the commercial business's operational rhythm.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration between departments to ensure that analytics solutions are well-rounded and incorporate diverse perspectives.

  • Roles will be passionate about covering key business focal areas: Business Divisions (Open/Strategic Accounts, Control/Indy) or Brand/Category families (Whiskey, Tequila/Foundation Brands).

Key Outputs

  • Development of Hypotheses, Analytical Plans and Synthesis of all commercial insights, with a focus on fact based selling opportunities

  • Develop tools/process for identifying and tracking local growth opportunities using all available data inputs – VIP (Depletions/dNSV), Nielsen, NABCA, Trax, Overproof, etc

  • Work with Director to establish end to end process for communicating with national, regional and local partner for reporting of results including selling stories.

  • Work with business partners to identify key issues and determine best analytical process to address

About you

  • Required: Undergraduate degree required or equivalent experience in a business, quantitative or technical field such as business administration, economics, finance, accounting, information systems or computer science.

  • Required: 2-5 years’ experience and demonstrated ability in consultative, analytical, or commercial sales roles.

  • Required: Familiarity with coding languages including SQL, Python, R, etc.

  • Required: Familiarity with data processing and visualization tools such as Alteryx, PowerBI, Jupyter Notebooks and the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Required: Familiarity with data infrastructure including data warehouses and data lake processing.

  • Required: Demonstrated history of analysis and translation of analytics into practical business outcomes.

  • Required: History of project work that involved multiple organizational departments and geographic areas.

  • Required: Significant analytical skills including a passion for data and discovering answers through data manipulation and a highly developed curiosity and motivation for teasing out exciting results.

  • Required: History of working with and is undaunted by large data sets (those in excess of millions of records).

  • Required: A strong baseline of oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills. An ability to convey complexity in a relatable manner.

  • Required: Very positive; highly organized; excellent influencer; exhibits independence/needs little supervision; quick learner; and exhibits resiliency and tenacity in the face of challenge.

  • Required: Moves with considerable pace, encouraged to take action and possesses an insatiable appetite for continuous improvement.

  • Preferred: Understanding of the US Spirits industry, three-tier system and the data and change management challenges that lie within.

  • Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

  • Inability to scale solutions across existing data platforms.

  • Inability to grasp nuances and data incongruities of the US Spirits industry.

  • Inability build relationships and translate for collaborators.

  • Inability to manage through and across a matrixed organization including linking with the wider commercial community.

  • Lack of entrepreneurial drive or an ability to be a self-starter.
