The Edwards Lifesciences’ Corporate Development group is seeking a Director, Program Management to support the execution of a broad variety of strategic transactions including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, IP/Technology licenses, partnerships, and minority investments. A successful candidate will support the long-term growth strategy through the initiation, planning, execution, controls and management of aspects of our projects.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Develop a high-level integrated milestone plan for corporate development project plans and manage changes and risks to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, resources and contracts

  • Establish, maintain, and influence program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization

  • Work with the team to prepare monthly briefing materials for executive management and the Board of Directors

  • Partner with deal team to coordinate due diligence efforts including the collection and dissemination of diligence materials, and the planning and scheduling of transaction meetings (virtual and on-site)

  • Develop and maintain a tracking system to report up to date progress against all corporate development objectives and deal timelines

  • Implement process improvement projects in partnership with corporate development team and cross-functional leaders

  • Manage project closure activities, including gathering lessons learned

  • Identify and evaluate more complex process improvements and/or course correction/alignment opportunities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in project and program management, developing expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market or product

  • Other incidental duties

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field with 12 years of experience managing large to midsize projects and/or programs of increasing complexity required

  • Master's Degree or equivalent preferred

What else we look for (Preferred):

  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management methodology required

  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management systems

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills including negotiating and relationship management with intent to drive shared achievement of objectives

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Experience with project budgets and financial management

  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders

  • Experience within a regulated environment

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

  • Must be able to work with all levels of internal and external stakeholders concerning projects, decisions, timelines, and/or driving contractual clarifications

  • Ability to lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $152,000 to $216,000 (highly experienced).
