Charles Schwab Manager, Software Development & Engineering in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze business requirements, design, develop and unit test software applications and utilities. Improve system quality by identifying issues, common patterns and developing standard operating procedures. Enhance applications for better performance, making recommendations, designing, implementing solutions. Maintain and improve existing codebase and code reviews. Liaise with colleagues to implement technical design. Provide written technical documentation and maintaining documentation. Position allows for partial remote work. Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility.
Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.
Salary: $149,940 to $214,700 per year
What you have
Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related degree and 6 years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Requires 6 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s related experience, which include some experience in each of the following skills: .NET Framework, C#, ASP.Net MVC, .NET Web API; Cloud technologies such as AWS or Microsoft Azure; RDMS Databases such as SQL Server or Oracle; Web Front end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript; and, Messaging technologies such as MSMQ.
