This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul. This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office 2-3 days per week.
The position provides right of way assistance and technical support to the Project Coordination & Finance Unit and District R/W Offices. This position will be responsible for coordinating communications with OLM units and District Right of Way departments. Responsibilities include, but not limited to coordinating projects between the units of Right of Way, researching data to help resolve conflicts that affect right of way acquisition, database entry, and record tracking.

Minimum Qualifications
Typically the level of experience to perform this job at the Transportation Specialist level can be achieved with:
- Four years of experience performing right of way or related activities
OR
- Three years of experience performing right of way or related activities PLUS a combination of one year of related experience in surveys, design, road maintenance, materials/soils, permits, etc.
Note: A Two year Civil or Construction Technology Degree or the following four-year degrees: Architectural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering; Land Surveying / Geomatics; or equivalent may substitute for one year of experience. (In order for education coursework to be considered in lieu of work experience you must submit a copy of your transcripts).
- Working knowledge of English sufficient to read, write, speak and understand oral and written information; communicate with employees and the general public in-person or via two-way radio and other electronic devices; and to maintain routine written logs and simple records.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience utilizing Adobe Pro and Microsoft Suite.
Experience with DOT’s district and central office right of way acquisition process.
