The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) Planning Tools team is looking for a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Salesforce Developer to build solutions that make it simpler for our field team to manage and operate at scale. As a Salesforce Developer on the SMGS Planning Tools team, you’ll contribute to defining and building the next go-to-market (GTM) platform for the AWS Sales organization. In addition to working on the latest Salesforce technologies, you’ll have the opportunity to innovate in the space of Sales Planning and Management. You’ll be chartered with creating and operating applications that deliver critical capabilities to the field, and with embedding operational knowledge and encoding best practices into everything we do.

Key job responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis, design, development, implementation of applications with necessary customization

• Participate in the planning and analysis of requirements for system enhancements, translating requirements into well-architecture solutions that best use Salesforce Territory Planning/Salesforce Maps.

• Support cross systems and related integrations across Salesforce eco system

• Build solutions on Salesforce.com platform, including development in Force.com, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Apex and Web Services

• Work with a cross-functional Scrum team to maintain and enhance Salesforce applications in iterative release cycles

• Troubleshoot and fix defects for planned releases and production issues

• Research and find opportunities to utilize SFDC best practices, guidelines to improve system productivity, scaling and monitoring

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Arlington, VA, USA | Dallas, TX, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Certified Salesforce Developer

  • 4+ years of experience in Salesforce.com platform

  • Lightning web components, Visualforce, Apex Classes/Controllers, Apex Triggers development experience

  • Web services development or experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Metadata, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline

  • Experience implementing Salesforce Territory Planning/Maps and CRM Analytics

  • Understanding of data structures, data modeling and database schema

  • Understanding of key SFDC architectural concepts and how they influence design

  • Professional experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment, including development/staging/production (or similar) deployment cycles

  • Demonstrated success in implementing at least two full life cycle SFDC implementation

  • Experience working with technical and business stakeholders from global cross-functional teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
