Universal Health Services Housekeeper - Behavioral Health in SAVANNAH, Georgia

Responsibilities

Coastal Behavioral Health has an opening for an experienced Housekeeper

The Housekeeper cleans, sanitizes, and maintains the appearance of our facility. Responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms, restrooms, and offices while ensuring that proper infection control and safety procedures are followed. The Housekeeper changes patient bed linens, removes trash, dusts, mops, vacuums, and disinfects in all assigned areas. The Housekeeper inventories, restocks, and replenishes supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, and hand sanitizer.

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 114-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50 bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. We offer compassionate patient care to those who need it the most, serving not only local patients, but also those located across the country. Our hospitals are conveniently located in beautiful, historic Savannah, GA in a quiet setting that provides unparalleled anonymity and privacy, enabling patients to concentrate on treatment.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants meet the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience with cleaning techniques in a medical facility and/or commercial housekeeping preferred.

  • Must be able to perform physical activities such as prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and handling of materials. Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.

  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function; reliable transportation is required.

  • This position works days and should be able to work weekends and holidays.
