San Diego Humane Society is hiring full-time temporary Guest Relations Associates for our San Diego Campus!

    What you’ll do:

  • Provide exceptional service to every guest; this includes immediately acknowledging guests as they enter or call SDHS and thanking them for coming to SDHS. Check guests in and out for relinquishment and euthanasia services.

  • Check in stray animals brought in by the public and gather detailed information regarding the animal’s owner, found circumstance, and behavior.

  • Reunite lost animals with their owners by confirming ownership, collecting payment, and completing paperwork.

  • Assist owners who have lost their pet via stray walks, system searches, and lost reports.

  • Cross train in all areas of the Guest Relations department including Admissions, Stray, Reclaim, Lost and Found, and Adoptions.

    What we’re looking for:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer/guest services required, 2 years preferred

  • Bilingual skills a plus, bilingual-Spanish preferred

    Location & Hours: Based at our San Diego Campus. These positions work will last for approximately 4 – 6 months .

    Pay: Starting range is between $18.25 – $20.53 per hour and is eligible for an hourly bilingual-Spanish premium.The actual hourly rate is determined by your related education and experience.

    Career Growth through Job Levels: Guest Relations offers three job levels as you grow within your role. Growth is based on time worked in your SDHS Guest Relations Associate role and meeting other training and performance requirements – everyone can advance once they meet the requirements! Advancing levels is recognized through a title change and pay increase.
