Description

Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations — Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.

Summary Purpose: Assumes responsibility for day-today activity and training of employees as directed to provide for the needs of the hospital regarding patient throughput and medical equipment distribution and for the completion of departmental work in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities

1.Schedules employees to provide appropriate coverage to maintain patient throughput and medical equipment distribution to all areas of the Medical Center environment according to department, Medical Center and regulatory requirements.

2.Assists with responsibility for human resources management within the Patient Safety Companion Department to achieve consistency and positive employee relations.

3.Performs inter-departmental and intra-departmental communication, as required, to provide for the level of service required to meet the patient safety companion needs of the Medical Center

4.Assumes responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of department equipment and supplies.

5.Communicates with the Patient Care Manager daily in order to provide for smooth and efficient departmental operations.

6.Remains current in all aspects of Patient Safety Companion competencies and supervisory skills

7.Promotes a safe and efficient working environment by adhering to Medical Center and department policies and procedures.

8.Capacity Management Transportation Tracking Compliance

9.Assumes responsibility for developing and maintaining an environment which supports service excellent behavior so that Vassar Brothers Medical Center is known for service excellence.

10.Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Values.

11.Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

12.Performs other duties as required.

Education Skills Experience Education and Experience Requirements:

·High school degree, or equivalent Other Information TrSpv-PTTran-VBMC - Position Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: ·Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

License, Registration, or Certification Requirements: ·Basic Life Support (within 6 months of hire or transfer date)
