Bon Secours Mercy Health Business Development Coordinator Home Health /Hospice in Portsmouth, Virginia

Position Summary

The Business Development Coordinator fosters relationships with the community to enhance awareness and utilization of Bon Secours Services. Responsible for development and implementation of marketing and business development initiatives to aid in service line growth strategies. Business Development Coordinator will manage and lead referral development.

Essential Functions

Ensure maintenance of positive relationships with community, referral sources, and medical groups by making regularly scheduled visits, and maintain a log that details content of the meeting and follow up steps if necessary.

Coordinates and implements marketing plan consistent with Service Line growth strategy.

Improves service line marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on marketing opportunities, improve service line packaging, and coordinating new program development.

Facilitates communication between Practices, Physician Liaisons, and other Business Development Coordinators.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with hospital and ambulatory departments.

Provides market intelligence to Bon Secours leadership.

Complete marketing area research analysis including competition, successes, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions

Analyze trends and results for services.

Planning, developing, implementing physician visits, public relations and community events.

Maintains effective communication with referral sources by acting as a source to staff in providing assistance in service line optimization

Engage and maintain relationships with Bon Secours Outreach teams

Serves as a member of various health system and community committees.

Job Requirements

Associates Degree

A track record of successful marketing, business development, and strategic planning.

Strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Commitment to a person-centered, faith based, mission centered philosophy. Telephone, mobile phone, and computer (keyboard, screen, printer) and other office equipment as required.

Valid Driver's license with an acceptable record
