Bergen's Nursery Section Grower in Park Rapids, Minnesota
Need 31 full time, temporary, seasonal Section Growers to work in Park Rapids, MN. From: 01/15/2024 to 10/15/2024 Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. ESST LAW: Effective January 1st, 2024, Employers must provide each employee in Minnesota (1) hour of sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. Must Apply By: 06/01/2024 NOTE: JOB DUTIES: The Section Grower is responsible for the care and maintenance of plants within a designated area of greenhouse space. They will perform various operational and grower tasks to ensure the effective operation of the growing facility by following prescribed schedules, operating policies and procedures. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Six(6) months experience as an Assistant Grower; High School Diploma / GED; able to lift 60 lbs.; able to perform work that requires extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
