Amazon Publisher Monetization (APM) org mission is to maximize publisher value, by delivering compelling ad experiences in video, audio, display, across 1P Amazon Properties such as - Freevee, Twitch, FireTV, FireTablet, Prime Video, Alexa, Live Events, IMDb, Store, Grocery and more. We are expanding our teams at all levels to deliver on our top priority objectives.

For this role, we're looking for a passionate, team-oriented, and talented Principal Technical Program Manager with experience leading complex technical cross-functional programs working with Product, Engineering and Sales. They will own and deliver on critical SVP and S-Team level goals, insisting on high standards from their partner engineering teams to deliver results.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to identify problems and develop solutions. They must have strong analytical capabilities with a process improvement mentality. Cross-team coordination, project management, executive communication, and presentation skills are required.

Key job responsibilities

1) Own successful delivery of large, high impact and highly cross-functional product initiatives while simultaneously and accurately tracking a set of smaller projects

2) Drive strategic cross-functional planning, leading discovery and prioritization by closely partnering with product managers and engineering leads to develop program plans that include roadmaps, dependency identifications, and resourcing plans

3) Ascertain the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines

4) Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on plans, status, and critical issues

5) Partner as a technical liaison between product and engineering teams

About the team

The Amazon Publisher Monetization team is responsible for driving profitability of Amazon’s owned and operated publishers through use of advertising. We strive to deliver an engaging, relevant and personalized ad experience to best balance the needs of consumers with those of our advertiser customers. We do this by building scalable and automated products that serve the needs of our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience

  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
