Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility is GROWING in Orlando FL and seeks to hire a Project Reliability Manager to monitor locomotive reliability and drive fleet performance improvement across the Brighline project’s fleet. You will be responsible for investigating and implementing continuous improvements of the locomotive fleet and providing specialist technical support to the maintenance teams. You also have the overall responsibility for coordination, implementation, progress, and performance of field experience-related tasks and activities and are the point of contact for Headquarters regarding field experience-related topics.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Ensure the field experience data and information is collected thoroughly and completely through the given tools, e.g., Salesforce, CMMS or MAXIMO, comprising all corrective and preventive maintenance activities and material use.

  • Ensure the field experience data and information is accurate and plausible through continuous evaluation.

  • For selected cost and failure drivers collect and add additional information like environmental information and diagnostic information to understand the correlation of failure/cost determining factors.

  • Initiate and follow-up root cause analysis for selected failure and cost drivers to reduce non-conformance costs.

  • Responsible for field experience process and workflow implementation and improvement.

  • Investigate and progress continuous improvements for the Locomotives, supervising modifications to maintain or enhance the trainset performance.

  • Responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of the performance regime.

  • Implement KPI's to monitor fleet performance based on contractual requirements.

  • Monitor reliability and performance trends and develop improvement proposals.

  • Designated point of contact for the Customer's engineering team requiring day to day performance information.

  • Review all defects and actions taken to rectify those to a satisfactory level

  • Participate in regular communication meetings, internal and external including Failure Review Board, engineering procedural change briefings, safety and reliability performance meetings, project and customer meetings.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or vocational training with verifiable experience in rolling stock maintenance.

  • Minimum of 2 year of engineering experience.

  • Understanding of Reliability principles to the overall product development life cycle (verification/validation of requirements, failure distributions, root cause analysis, FRACAS, etc.).

  • Experience in monitoring key performance indicators.

  • Contract and commercial understanding.

  • Well-developed and demonstrated written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Well-developed and demonstrated conceptual, analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • Organizational skills, including the ability to achieve agreed deadlines using effective teamwork.

  • Demonstrated experience in the use of MS Excel and other Data Analytics tools like Tableau, Spotfire or Power BI.

The pay range for this position in Orlando, FL is $80,800-109,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
