Google Software Engineer, Infrastructure and Tools, Pixel Engineering in New Taipei City, Taiwan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience collaborating with various teams such as developers, test engineers, and product management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing infrastructure and tools to streamline and scale operational workflow, applying AI/ML in test automation or data analytics use cases.

  • Experience in developing backend services or fullstack applications and highly collaborative.

  • Understanding of complex device ecosystems and products such as Android and Pixel.

  • Ability to proactively anticipate and address challenges and obstacles.

  • Ability to navigate technical and product issues and dealing with ambiguity.

  • Excellent multitasking and communication skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced, highly complex, and time sensitive environment.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

  • Design and develop platform and application features used by developers, test engineers, and management teams to streamline, scale, and optimize the test automation in security, privacy, stability areas across teams and Product Areas.

  • Develop data platform and application features to support quality metrics and performance related analytics (report and dashboard) that drive automated task prioritization, resource allocation, and other business critical use cases.

  • Build the tools to improve developers' and test engineer's experience and productivity. Leverage Machine Learning techniques to scale test automation and improve test effectiveness.

  • Be accountable for supporting and building upstream engineering tests of a broad set of Pixel features.

  • Work closely with developers, test teams, and other teams in identifying issues with production quality and coverage, and providing solutions of improvement through development, test practices, and processes.
