Quality Machined Products Honing Operator - 2nd shift in NEW KENSINGTON, Pennsylvania
*Quality Machined Products and Manufacturing is looking to hire a 2nd shift Honing Operator at our facility in New Kensington, PA. *
SUMMARY:
The Honing/Production Worker will setup and operate a honing machine to hone internal surfaces of metal parts, such as cylinders, bearings, and connecting rods to specifications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and maintain machine production
- Loading work piece into fixture for honing
- Adjusting feed rate, spindle speed, length of stroke, and depth of cut
- Measuring finished workpiece with instruments such as fixed gauges and surface finish tester
- Read blueprints
- Perform manual machining operations such as drilling, buffing, stamping, tapping, etc.
- Operate and run the MSO (Multi Secondary Operations Machine)
- Perform finishing operations
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
