Zeiterion Performing Arts Center Grant Coordinator in New Bedford, Massachusetts

About The Z: The Zeiterion Performing Arts Center (The ?Z?) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to steward our historic theater as a gathering place for performing arts experiences where learning, connection, and creative expression thrive. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Grants Coordinator is a member of the Development Team and is a liaison between the Zeiterion and foundations. The Grants Coordinator is responsible for researching, assisting in the preparation of, submitting, and managing grant proposals/reports that support organization projects and goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria. This person assists the Development Director and other staff with gathering grant materials, manages the grant calendar, keeps abreast of all grant-funded initiatives, and engages in reporting. Work location is on site/remote hybrid. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the grant team with grant proposal development and submission?preparing and organizing materials for proposals, and submitting and monitoring grant applications. Research new funding opportunities on a local, state, and federal level. Build and maintain relationships with local funders. Assist with drafting proposals/LOIs, grant application narratives, and budgets and collaborate to finalize with program staff, finance, and the Director of Development. Submit grant applications via paper or online portals, and maintain list of passwords/log in information. Attend meetings with potential funders and Z staff to explore funding opportunities and fulfill site visit requirements. Create and maintain a master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and correspondence. Maintain library of grant support documents including resumes, bios, IRS forms, Board/staff lists, etc. Execute thank you letters and facilitate grant contracts/agreements. Ensure proper acknowledgment of funders on web and printed materials. Research statistics, trends and data for grant proposals and community advocacy, including: Performing research and data-gathering; Assisting in development of presentations for various stakeholders. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of experience in fundraising and/or grant management (or equivalent experience in the for profit/corporate space) Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience as well as superior editing skills, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a variety of audiences. Strong administrative skills and self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision in effective and efficient manner. Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Bonus points for: Experience with CRM software systems, especially Salesforce/Patron Manager.
