Wells Fargo Paralegal - Conduct Management and Internal Investigations in MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Paralegal to join the Conduct Risk Management and Internal Investigations section of the Employment and Investigations Division. This section supports the Company's Sales Practices Conduct Management and Conduct Risk functions, providing legal support for the conduct functions within the Company, including ethics, insider threat, sales practices, allegations, and conduct-related internal investigations. This position will focus on managing the internal investigations portfolio of matters.

In this role you will:

  • Provide support to a specialized area within the Legal Department using a high degree of analytical, communication and organizational skills

  • Work closely with internal and external counsel on sensitive conduct-related internal investigations. Duties include: case opening and closing, discovery collection, case coordination, witness support, internal reporting, document preparation, and the execution and management of legal holds

  • Research and resolve issues and matters which may involve substantial legal or factual complexity, through detailed research and examination of documentation and factual investigation

  • Present recommendations and exercise independent judgement while demonstrating specialty expertise

  • Collaborate, consult, and provide information with Legal Department attorneys and staff, outside counsel and other stakeholders outside the Legal Department

  • Proactively manage internal and external reporting requirements. Assist with the collection, analysis, documentation and presentation of facts, data, and metrics relevant to conduct risk programs and internal investigations with minimal attorney supervision.

  • Identify potential enhancements to investigations process in collaboration with line of business clients and internal/external counsel

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Paralegal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Investigation or litigation experience

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

  • Ability to work independently to complete tasks assigned by attorneys and senior paralegal

  • Strong research skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Job Expectations:

  • Paralegal certification may be required in some states

  • Position will require onsite presence from any of the required locations listed below

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Pay Range

$26.59 - $47.26
