Role Description & Responsibilities SIMULIA simulation software accelerates the process of evaluating the performance, reliability and safety of materials and products before committing to physical prototypes. We support the engineering disciplines of structural, fluids, plastics, electromagnetics and others. We are pursuing a software engineering candidate who can utilize their knowledge, skills, experience and creative thinking to build innovative and impactful solutions that improve the user's experience and efficiency with our products. This role requires an individual who utilizes their planning and leadership skills to deliver projects on time and with high quality. The ideal candidate will work in a team who is responsible for delivering common components for many of SIMULIA's apps. These components help the user build their simulations and provide assistance with determining if their simulations are complete and correct. The candidate will design and implement new functionality (both front and back end) with good usability and a focus on performance and maintaining a high level of quality. This position requires a strong knowledge of object-oriented programming with C++, a good knowledge of HTML/JavaScript, good problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with teammates in different geographies. Qualifications * Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field of study with significant industry experience. * C++ experience - MUST HAVE * Proficiency with object-oriented programming. * Web development experience (HTML/JavaScript). * Established problem-solving ability. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Team player willing to take direction/advice from and provide direction/advice to teammates. * Ability to work as part of a geographically distributed development team. Nice to have: * Experience using Visual Studio or comparable IDE. * Conceptual knowledge of at least one engineering discipline. * Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
