Manage baseline tool performance through metrics to meet production and quality requirements. Ensure adequate controls over machine files and settings and utilize available automation systems to achieve high volume manufacturing. Support new tool installations, optimizing process and tool operating conditions, and minimizing human and machine induced errors to ensure the highest quality output. Apply engineering knowledge to various mechanical systems and subsystems to find the root cause of failure and Develop CA/PA (Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions) for the top pareto items, and ensure proper controls are in place to guarantee product quality and meet output goals. Collaborate with other engineers to improve existing processes through design of experiments (DOE) or Special Engineering work request (SWR) and statistical data analysis. Develop process and procedural improvements and provide detailed documentation and training to shift personnel. Understand parts and cost requirements for assigned toolset and manage them efficiently and cost effectively. Optimize parts availability via effective part management, kitting, safety stock levels and consignment inventory, via DTWP metric monitoring. Create the SAP PM (Preventive maintenance) List and BOM (Bill of materials) where needed. Work with operations team to collect input for area improvement. Support the operations team to develop custom training programs to drive tool performance. Create and modify procedures for processes, tool types, hardware, maintenance and reaction mechanisms. Formulate strategy and action plan with timeline to close performance gaps. Communicate with supervisor about priorities, issues, roadblocks and time management. Communicate action plan to the team as required.

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
