DESCRIPTION OF WORK You will serve as project inspector and oversee a single highway or bridge project involving pavement restoration, minor repairs, intersections, or structures, or act as a supervisor on more complex projects. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, inspecting work, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and promoting quality improvement initiatives. You will also be involved in implementing new strategies, streamlining operations, and fostering a sense of ownership and pride among employees. Additionally, you will play a role in supporting environmental practices and helping colleagues achieve business plan objectives related to the Strategic Environmental Management Program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Vendor-controlled position This position will be reporting to various projects sites within York County, however limited travel to District 8-0 at 2140 Herr Street may be required. Travel and overtime may be required according to operational needs. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Condition of Employment:

This position requires possession of a valid non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
