Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and capable Software Engineer (m/f/d) , to join the international R&D team developing Design-for-Test (DFT) tools as part of the Tessent product line. These sophisticated tools are a key part of the industry leading Tessent platform and are vital to our customers’ success in silicon validation of ICs. You will be a member of an agile product development team working collaboratively with others in the broader engineering organization, including other software and product engineers, application specialists and quality assurance engineers. Together, we continuously strive to develop innovative products using the latest tools and technologies across different areas including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. You will have the opportunity to responsibly lead projects that add significant new functionality and value to the products, and further improve your personal and professional skills and knowledge.

Locations:

Primary location: Germany

The position can be full-time remote, or hybrid / in-office at any of our locations in Canada, Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, or the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for designing and implementing software products and features in the Design-for-Test domain. This includes design, writing specifications, planning, schedule estimation, implementation, and detailed testing. Challenges include the ability to develop complete and efficient solutions within a large and complex code base and integrate them in existing products. High efficiency, outstanding problem-solving skills, and the ability to architect and implement high-quality and maintainable software are key skills. Equally crucial for success are strong collaboration and communication skills, self-drive, and a positive can-do attitude.

Qualifications:

Required experiences:

  • MS in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another related field. BS degree will be considered if coupled with extensive C++ development experience

  • Strong C/C++ skills

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

  • Basic knowledge of digital logic design

  • Good oral and written communication skills in English

  • Strong ability to learn, explore and innovate with new technologies

Additional experiences of advantage include:

  • Experience in software development on Linux, and development tools such as Git

  • Expertise in at least one scripting language like TCL or Python

  • Experience in using or developing EDA tools is a strong plus

  • Expertise of IEEE 1687

  • Knowledge of IEEE 1149.1, 1500, 1838

  • Knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
