City Of Fort Morgan Director of Public Works in Fort Morgan, Colorado
REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience: Bachelor degree in related field preferred or equivalent in experience. (Two years of experience equals one year of education.) Valid driver s license.
PREFERRED: Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in municipal engineering, with a thorough knowledge of municipal engineering, construction and maintenance coupled with a working knowledge of land use planning and development or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Professional licensed Civil Engineer preferred.
SALARY: Rate of Pay: $115,000 - $150,000

DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the City Manager, the Director of Public Works is responsible for providing municipal engineering services, managing construction of infrastructure capital improvement projects, conducting design and plan review of private/public projects; selecting and managing engineering design consultants; providing capital improvement services and for serving in a professional and administrative advisory capacity to the City s Utilities, Planning and Zoning and Building Departments. The work of this position involves significant accountability and decision-making responsibilities. Responsibilities and assignments are broad in scope and require independent judgment on issues that are complex, interpretive and evaluative in nature.
