You will be managing a large team of Senior Field Clinical Specialists in diverze EU countries that support assigned products/activities within Professional Education.

Candidate / Job location: Germany. Travelling will be requested.

How you will make an impact:

  • Lead a team of Field Clinical Specialists responsible for on-site education activities related to Edwards devices and related procedures. Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department including building and defining clear areas of responsibilities of the team

  • Provide procedural analysis and feedback from physicians and team members (e.g., FCS) on product and training improvements

  • Provide guidance and feedback to team members (e.g., training managers, field trainers) to define and lead the implementation of educational training plan across the region according to business priorities and customer needs

  • Create and update of all reporting forms and gather insights from the field to support the reporting process. Ensure technical procedure details are accurately recorded in the system (e.g., SalesForce) and train team members on updates aligning with compliance and processes with Quality and regulatory teams.

  • Act as an SME on specific/assigned product/therapy and respond to complex questions from physicians

  • Communicate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Clinical Development) on commercial learnings and lead the prioritization of project and/or outcome plans from EU perspective.

  • Provide technical guidance on the handling of complex complaints including investigations

  • Observe cases to maintain knowledge of technical matters related to investigational therapies/products and procedures

  • Other incidental duties: Attend and educate at conferences as needed

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in related scientific (health care) field , 8 years experience related experience required

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in related field preferred

  • Proved people leading experience required, additional experience from field - training, clinical support requested

  • Knowledge of very complex therapeutic field - structural heart, cardiac, vascular surgery, robotic surgery, neurosurgery, etc.

What else we look for:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Fluent in English and German

  • Expert understanding of complex procedures while addressing issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines

  • Expert understanding of related aspects of field educational processes and/or good training practices

  • Demonstrated ability to manage assigned team to provide coaching and feedback to maintain the highest standard of professional education of the team, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of field education to the business

  • Ability to provide physitians and their teams with all aspects related to the use of Edwards products; theoretical training, live implantation, device and procedure understanding and implementation

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Frequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company; often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team

  • Participate and present at meetings with internal and external representatives

  • Resolve operational and scheduling issues

  • Develop relationships and leverage them to influence change

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
