Essentra Components Entry-Level Injection Mold Technician in Erie, Pennsylvania
This role is responsible for maximizing daily workload and keeping machines running efficiently and productively by monitoring the productivity rate and reject rate.
The Entry-Level Injection Mold Technician will:
- Remove and install molds according to production requirements
- Maintain records to ensure high-quality production
- Follow SOPs, processes, and training instructions
- Participate in identifying safety and production improvements
- Perform jobs assigned by production supervisor/management
- Assist in sampling and perform first piece inspection
- Assist floor personnel when needed
- Attend all training sessions
- Perform in-process attribute/functional gauging (where required)
- Perform in-process monitoring and reporting
- Keep accurate records of machine downtime when required
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
Requirements:
- Must have good time management skills
- Must be able to work with limited supervision
- Well-motivated, self-starter
- Mechanical aptitude
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in injection molding setup, or has had training in processing or equivalent is preferred
