Job Summary

Lambert is currently seeking a full-time Staff Accountant/Accounting Associate to perform day-to-day accounting functions and provide support to the company’s Director of Finance in our Detroit, MI office. In this role you will help ensure the ongoing health of our business by providing specialized, centralized support to our teams and managers.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Assists with collections

  • Prepares daily cash receipts and deposits

  • Reconciles corporate credit cards

  • Assists team and management with ad-hoc reporting

  • Manages vendor and client files

  • Manages journal entries for business transactions

  • Assist Director of Finance with month-end close

    Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 2-4 years’ experience in Accounting

  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel at a minimum – mid to advanced level) and financial database programs (SAP knowledge desirable)

  • Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
