Freeport-McMoRan Inc. Mill Repair Employee - Climax Mine in Climax, Colorado
Climax Molybdenum is the world's leading producer of molybdenum and has a long, successful history of doing business in a safe, highly efficient and socially responsible manner. We have operated in Colorado for more than 100 years and today have mining and milling operations near Leadville, Kremmling and Empire. Our Climax mine is located between Frisco and Leadville. Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour's drive apart - separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles is underground). The Henderson mine is about 50 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire, and the mill is located between Dillon and Kremmling.
Description Skilled Mechanic who, under supervision, safely performs maintenance, installation, and repair of equipment and processes in the Milling plant including mills, conveyors, screens and like systems. - Assist with and perform component replacement and repairs on, but not limited to: conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, filter drums, crushers, hydraulic filter presses, and foundry pum - Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance: identify potential failures/noises/wear on agitators, rotors, belts, pulleys, gear boxes - May perform welding (Stick, TIG) - Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections - Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- One (1) year of experience in mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance
- Ability read and use schematics and blue prints
Preferred Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or GED
