Description
We are seeking a diligent and meticulous Credit Clerk based in Cleveland, Ohio. This role will involve working in the finance industry, specifically in the function of a Bookkeeper. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring financial records, processing customer credit applications, and resolving customer credit inquiries.
Responsibilities:
Recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process in QuickBooks and QuickBooks online
Performing reconciliations of bank and other accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy
Processing accounts payable in a timely manner
Ensuring payroll accuracy and handling payroll tax issues
Maintaining an orderly accounting filing system
Communicating with clients, vendors, and tax agencies when it comes to client inquiries
Maintaining and monitoring financial records
Assembling information for external auditors for the annual audit
Preparing financial statements
Handling monthly, quarterly, and annually closings
Providing clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role or similar position
• Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks
• Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation tasks
• Proven experience in managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in performing bank reconciliations
• Exceptional data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Capable of executing month end close procedures
• Knowledge and experience in payroll management
• Committed to maintaining high standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
