Position: Medical Director Anesthesia

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives.

  • Develop a unified culture supporting our CREATE values among anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists regarding practice style, clinical and operational objectives for the department.

  • Assure regular department meetings to discuss clinical and operational elements of the program as well as overarching perioperative program issues.

  • Manage staffing assignment schedules at 2 campus locations working collaboratively with the Lead CNRA

  • Knowledge of hospital-based physician services.

  • Knowledge of multidisciplinary team development.

  • Knowledge of governmental regulations, rules and compliance requirements related to clinical practice.

  • Displays consistent behavior that enhances the public image of the organization as evidenced by professionalism, interaction with peers, customers, vendors, etc.

  • Completes periodic, but at least annual, reviews of individual Anesthesia providers, and takes actions as necessary based on the reviews.

  • Ability to use various computer systems and applications.

  • Ability to plan, organize and supervise.

  • Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and problem-solving techniques in the decision-making process.

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public.

  • Ability to communicate clearly.
